Frequently asked questions

WSIB Rehabilitation FAQ

What is WSIB rehabilitation?

It is rehabilitation for eligible workplace injuries within Ontario's WSIB claim and program processes, with treatment focused on recovery, function and safe return to work.

Can I start treatment before my WSIB claim is fully decided?

Eligibility depends on the claim and program. Contact WSIB and the clinic so entitlement, required forms and the applicable treatment pathway can be confirmed.

What information should I bring?

Bring available claim information, injury details, relevant medical information and a description of your job demands. The clinic can tell you what additional documentation is required.

Is every physiotherapy clinic automatically a WSIB program provider?

No. Some WSIB programs have provider registration and reporting requirements. Motiva will confirm that the clinic and treating provider meet the applicable requirements before care proceeds under that program.
