The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) to join the Motiva team on a full-time or part-time basis.

This is a commission-based opportunity designed to allow the therapist to focus primarily on providing excellent patient care while Motiva supports the administrative and operational side of the practice.

We welcome applications from both experienced RMTs and new graduates.

Compensation

This position is structured on a commission-based compensation model.

Because Motiva provides the treatment space, equipment, linens, reception, booking system, payment processing, marketing, cleaning and patient referrals, the commission arrangement is designed as a fully supported clinic model.

The final commission arrangement will be discussed with selected candidates based on:

• Experience
• Availability
• Existing caseload, if applicable
• Scope of responsibilities
• Full-time or part-time commitment

Responsibilities

• Conduct appropriate patient assessments
• Develop individualized massage therapy treatment plans
• Provide safe, professional and evidence-informed massage therapy
• Adapt treatment to individual patient needs and goals
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Obtain and document informed consent as required
• Educate patients regarding treatment, self-management and wellness where appropriate
• Maintain professional boundaries and patient confidentiality
• Follow infection-prevention, safety and professional-practice standards
• Collaborate with physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals when appropriate
• Maintain professional registration and liability insurance in good standing
• Contribute to a respectful, professional and patient-centred clinic environment

Qualifications

• Be registered and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO), or be eligible for registration
• Maintain appropriate professional liability insurance
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability and a commitment to excellent patient care
• Be comfortable working independently and collaboratively
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Follow applicable privacy, professional and regulatory requirements

Assets

• Experience in a physiotherapy, rehabilitation or multidisciplinary clinic
• Experience treating sports or musculoskeletal conditions
• Experience with therapeutic, rehabilitation-focused or deep-tissue massage
• Existing local caseload or community connections
• Interest in building a long-term practice within the Barrhaven community

New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

Both full-time and part-time availability will be considered. Potential availability may include weekdays, evenings and Saturdays.

Scheduling can be discussed based on therapist availability and clinic needs.
